Canada-Argentina women's soccer match kicks off Friday in Vancouver

For the first time since the Paris Olympics, Canada Soccer’s Women’s team (CANWNT) is returning home to play Argentina at BC Place in Vancouver for the Women’s Soccer Friendlies on Friday, April 4.

The first of two matches in this friendly series taking place in B.C., this will also be the first match in Canada for the team’s new head coach, Casey Stoney.

This world-class international soccer match is set to be an electrifying one, and CANWNT is hoping to continue its long winning streak over Argentina.

Canada and Argentina have a long history of playing each other dating back to 2003 — with Canada currently boasting an undefeated record of 6-0-0 against the South American team.

CANWNT is also coming off a championship win at the 2025 Pinatar Cup back in February, beating Mexico 2-0, drawing China 1-1, and dominating Chinese Taipei 7-0 in their last match.

Currently seventh in the FIFA rankings, these friendlies also mark the return of star Midfielder Quinn since the Paris Olympics, who is returning to the field after a knee injury.
