Canada has won bronze in the men’s 4×100 metre relay in the IAAF World Championships held in Beijing’s Bird Nest after the American team was disqualified because of a poor last exchange of the baton.
Just one month ago at the Pan Am Games in Toronto, the Canadian team was disqualified, having to surrender the gold medal after a lane violation.
Usain Bolt and the powerhouse Jamaicans took home the gold, while China surprised the pack and took silver on home soil.
The bronze medal gives rising star Andre De Grasse two medals at the Worlds. De Grasse also won bronze for Canada in the 100 metres last Sunday, in a competition where Bolt also won gold.
