Celebrate July 1 on Vancouver’s waterfront with this free all-day celebration

Gather the family and come on down to Canada Together, a free and fun way to celebrate July 1 in Vancouver. Happening at Canada Place, right on the waterfront, it’s sure to be a fun and full day packed with festivities, food, and live music!

The main stage will be buzzing with energy thanks to live performances all day long, featuring talented local artists including SPENDO, JESSAMINE, and Rebecca Sichon. The main headliners are set to bring an electric show — none other than The Strumbellas!

Kiddos of all ages will have a blast in the Family Zone, complete with all-ages activities and nonstop entertainment on the CN Family Stage. Here you’ll find Science World On The World, performances by School of Rock’s Junior House Band, the DJ Ira Dance Party, and Indigenous storytelling. The fan-favourite annual mascot dance-off is also a highly anticipated event. 

For a bit of nostalgia, step back into the year of 1986 with the Expo 86 Exhibit. Celebrate Canada Place’s 40th birthday — marking 4 decades since the doors opened. It’s a blast from the past, alright!

No celebration is complete without a little bit of shopping, and you can do that at the Indigenous Marketplace. Browse handcrafted jewelry, art, and decor from local Indigenous artisans. When you get hungry, head to the food truck area to experience the many flavours of our country with an array of dining options. 

For a slice of Canuck pride, at 9:30 a.m., Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada will host a citizenship ceremony, welcoming 60 new Canadians into the country’s multicultural family.
