This is according to the Mental Wellbeing Index compiled by SoulSanctuaries, a company that specializes in luxury wellness vacations.

The study examined the following factors that contribute to personal well-being:

  • Mental Health
  • Happiness
  • Sunshine Hours
  • Social Life
  • Nature
  • Kindness

In each of the categories, a country received a score between one and five. The scores were then added together to get a total Mental Well-Being Index (MWBI) rating, with 30 being the highest possible score.

The United Arab Emirates ranked first with a score of 28, followed by Indonesia (26), and Mongolia (25).

Canada ranked ninth and the US came in 10th. Both countries received an MWBI score of 24, but Canada beat out the US when it came to its happiness, kindness, and nature ratings.
