UPDATED: Canada Line service restored between Waterfront and Olympic Village

Mar 28 2018, 4:19 am

UPDATE at 3:20 pm: TransLink says Canada Line service is resuming to normal. The problem has been fixed and crews are leaving the guideway. Regular service will return in time for the afternoon peak rush hour.

ORIGINAL STORY:

The Canada Line is still experiencing service disruptions on its northernmost span in downtown Vancouver and across False Creek.

According to TransLink, a power supply issue is the cause of the delay, and it requires passengers traveling in either direction to change trains at Olympic Village Station.

At this time, a shuttle train is operating between the affected span from Waterfront Station to Olympic Village Station.

For inbound trains heading to Waterfront Station, shuttle trains will alternate between Yaletown-Roundhouse Station and Olympic Village Station to help alleviate crowding.

Passengers have been inconvenienced since just before noon, and there is no estimated time for when the problem will be resolved.
