400 people will say "namaste" on Canada Day for giant mass yoga event

What could be more “Vancouver” than celebrating Canada Day while doing yoga with 400 other people? Nothing, that’s what.

The Lolë White Tour is heading to McArthurGlen Designer Outlet to gather hundreds of yogis dressed head-to-toe in white for the group’s largest BC event to date. The white clothes are a symbol of peace.

The collective yoga session will kick off Canada Day celebrations at the mall, and will be led by local Yyoga instructors. Be ready with your mats at 9 am for the session to start at 10.

Tickets are $15  which includes a Lole yoga mat and gift bag with goodies. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross to help with the Fort McMurray fire relief fund.

Aside from saying “namaste” with 400 other people, there will be music performed by local jazz artists and the Vancouver Orchestral Club Symphony, as well as kid’s games and face painting.

And just in case you’re feeling the itch to shop, there will be sales of up to 70% off throughout the mall.
