Canada Day Drive-Thru at the Lynn Valley Legion

What: The Lynn Valley Legion will be hosting a Canada Day Drive-Thru during which participants can pick up a box of pancakes and a “party in a box.”

When: July 1, 2020

The PNE’s drive-thru Canada Day celebration and parade

What: The PNE will be hosting a drive-thru Canada Day celebration and parade, which allows participants to order their favourite fair foods and a chance to decorate their cars with flags and Canadian-themed items.

Virtual Events

Abbotsford Canada Day

What: Abbotsford’s first virtual Canada Day will include a virtual pet parade, a community concert stage, and a number of recorded activities from the Fraser Valley Bandits and other community participants.

When: July 1 to 31, 2020
Time: All day with a 7 pm O Canada sing-a-long and virtual fireworks

Canada Day House Party

What: Some of Canada’s top artists will be joining together for a unique, virtual festival experience. Performers include the Sam Roberts Band, Gord Sinclair of The Tragically Hip, Cadence Weapon, Dean Brody, and Elijah Woods x Jamie Fine.

The online event will benefit the Canadian Mental Health Association and viewers will have the opportunity to donate online or via text throughout the event.

Canada Day at Maple Ridge

What: On July 1, Maple Ridge will be celebrating with live performances, including Cross Parallel with Canadian country star Aaron Pritchett. There will also be a photo contest, a local convoy, and new citizenship awards.

Canada Day in Richmond

What: Richmond’s virtual Canada Day celebration will include a Mayor’s address, a home parade, the singing of O Canada, and virtual fireworks.

Coquitlam Celebrates Canada Day at Home 

What: The City of Coquitlam is inviting residents to celebrate with their family at home. Their Canada Day celebration will include live music, dance, interactive activities, and more.

North Shore Virtual Canada Day 2020

What: The North Shore’s Canada Day celebration will celebrate local culture, people, places, and organizations. The family-friendly event includes performances by local musicians and personalities such as Melanie Dekker, Adam Woodall, The Benders, and North Shore Celtic Ensemble.

New Westminster’s Virtual Canada Day

What: New Westminster’s virtual celebration includes a bubble picnic, a Century House picnic kit, celebration kits, and a virtual fireworks show at 10 pm.

What: Surrey’s free, online celebration will be hosted and celebrated by Canadian Olympian Hayley Wickenheiser. Participants can expect musical and cultural entertainment, virtual tours, a rodeo tribute, and a virtual fireworks finale.

Mission’s Canada Day 2020

What: A special Canada Day broadcast will stream live on the District of Mission’s Facebook page, including a national anthem, a flag-raising ceremony, and a number of musicians, dancers, and artists.

Virtual Canada Day at Langley
