Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate the harvest season, feast on turkey dinners, and eat so much you’ll need a nap. For Canada’s largest chain of poutineries, that means stuffing all that good stuff into a take-out container.
As is tradition, Smoke’s Poutinerie has introduced a hearty (yet compact) turkey feast on top of Canada’s most iconic dish.
“Can’t do family dinner this year? We want all poutine lovers to satisfy their cravings for a homemade turkey dinner and have everyone loosening their belt a few notches with fully satisfied stomachs,” said Smoke’s CEO Ryan Smolkin in a press release.
On menus now until October 15, locations across Canada will be serving up roasted turkey, savory stuffing, green peas, and cranberry sauce over a base of fries, cheese curds, and gravy.
Considering the Canadian holiday falls a full month earlier than our neighbours to the south, it seems only appropriate to make the holiday our own with at least one signature dish.
Americans can keep the Sweet Potato Casserole all to themselves.
