A new report by financial service firm Jones Lang LaSalle states that Burrard Street in Vancouver is home to the countries 3rd most expensive office space. Coming in at $48.88/square foot, it’s just behind Ottawa’s Albert Street and Toronto’s Bay Street ($52.09/sq. ft). In terms of the North America market, Burrard Street came in at number 11. The other Canadian cities, Calgary, Montreal and Edmonton also made the list.
A total of 4 new office towers are set to rise in the downtown core. Most of the new office projects will be in and around Burrard Street. You have 745 Thurlow, 1021 West Hastings (adjacent to the Marine Building, which is on Burrard) and the 13 floor office tower as part of the Toyota dealership redevelopment on Burrard and Drake.
