Marcello Battison of Burnaby won the $25.9 million Lotto Max jackpot (BCLC)
Marcello Battison is one lucky man.
The Burnaby senior won a whopping $25.9 in the March 10 Lotto Max draw.
At first, Battison said he could not believe he won.
“I asked the clerk who checked my ticket, ‘Did I win $5? The clerk said, ‘No! You won the whole pot!'” explained Battison in a release.
The senior purchased the lucky ticket at International News located in Burnaby’s Brentwood Mall.
Battison will be sharing the winnings with his family and is planning a vacation to Hawaii with his wife.
“I feel good about it,” he said. ” I have more than enough money to live comfortably and help the family.”
