Explosion at Burnaby recycling plant leaves worker injured

One worker is injured following an explosion at a recycling plant in Burnaby.

WorkSafe BC tells Daily Hive that crews extinguished a fire at ABC Recycling on Meadow Avenue at around 8 am Wednesday.

“There was one injury, and BC Ambulance responded,” WorkSafe BC spokesperson Scott McCloy says.

He adds that they have a representative on the way to the scene to make inquiries and investigate.
