Lynne Cohen: These Walls

What: Lynne Cohen is best known for her photographs of institutional interior spaces. Generally inaccessible to the public, these spaces include medical laboratories, private offices, factories, shooting ranges and military installations. This exhibition features work from the 1970s through to the early 2000s, and is the first time in several decades that Cohen’s work has been exhibited in Western Canada.

Luminescence IV Closing Event

What: Mind-bending optical illusions are just part of the story, the professional jam of the artists exhibiting is another. The evening event features one last chance to see the fire-breathing dragon by local icon Rom Simmer and live music from two amazing musicians: Eddie Lam & Leonard Pallerstein! The Berzerkatroid Dragon will be breathing fire on-site during the Luminescence IV closing event.

KidPreneur Market Day Expo

The Good Bride

What: Inspired by true events, this contemporary one-woman comedy finds a spunky 15-year-old Quiverfull Christian girl named Maranatha made to wait alone, day after day, for the arrival of her 28-year-old groom. Titanic the Musical

What: Lindbjerg Academy of Performing Arts’, Rising Stars Advanced, present Titanic the Musical. Titanic opened on Broadway in 1997, and won all five Tony Awards it was nominated for including the award for Best Musical and Best Score.

Let’s Try This Standing

What: Seven years ago, Gillian was hit by an SUV. She was on the sidewalk. Now, Gillian is a professional theatre artist. Let’s Try This Standing is about shitting on nurses, having sex with atrophied muscles, and being massaged by a therapist as he eats a bagel. It doesn’t offer easy answers, but it does give attendees a chance to be in a room together and be honest about how okay we are.
