Burnaby drive-by shooting was random: RCMP

A drive-by shooting last night has left three people shaken, but uninjured after a single shot was fired at them, according to CKNW.

The shooting took place on Tretheway Drive, near Ellerslie Avenue north of the Lougheed Highway at about 1 a.m.

The three people were in a car pulled off to the side of the road when the single shot was fired from a passing vehicle.

Police believe it was random, as none of them are connected to gang activity.

Burnaby RCMP are asking anyone with information to please contact them.
