Where to get bubble waffles in Vancouver

What is it?

Bubble waffles are an extremely popular street-snack that originated in Hong Kong and Macau back in the 1950’s. These spherical egg-based waffles can be made in a variety of flavours and served in many different ways.

They can be eaten plain and hot off the grill, or be topped with fruit and sauces like chocolate, coconut, and strawberry. These days, you can often find them curled up as bubble waffle ice cream cones, laid flat with ice cream and whipped cream on top, or in a cup as a bubble waffle sundae.

You can virtually make any kind of bubble waffle; some examples of innovative and modern takes on this eastern delicacy include green tea, cheese, purple sweet potato, or even pork floss flavoured bubble waffles.

Even though The BBT Shop is in Richmond, we think it’s worth a drive for Vancouverites to get their hands on delicious bubble waffles that are always piled high with ice cream, whipped cream, and fruit. The presentation is on point, and so are the waffles.
