It's a slam dunk for Vancouver's biggest YouTube company and the NBA

Vancouver-based tech company BroadbandTV is deepening their relationship with the National Basketball Association, which means the sports organization will be making more moves on YouTube.

BroadbandTV is basically in the business of making sure brands get their content viewed on YouTube, and that user uploaded content can get in on the cash loop. The tech biz “helps companies monetize fan-posted YouTube videos by identifying, claiming and serving ads to them,” explains BC Business.

Founded in 2005, BroadbandTV has worked with the NBA since 2009.

According to a press release about the new and expanded deal, YouTubers can expect to find an enhanced NBA Channel on the popular video site, which could prove rather impressive considering that to-date the NBA’s YouTube channel has generated more than 2.2 billion pageviews, and it’s the most popular pro sports channel on the site with over 5.7 million subscribers.

“We’re thrilled to extend the relationship and help the NBA to become even more successful on YouTube,” said BroadbandTV’s Founder and CEO Shahrzad Rafati.

All told, BroadbandTV has over 20,000 network partners on their roster, generating a total of over two billion monthly views around the globe, notes Tubefilter.
