Leading media and technology company BroadbandTV (BBTV) is expanding its operations into the U.S. with the opening of a New York City office. Located in Manhattan’s Midtown, in the heart of the city’s prominent advertising community, the new office is BBTV’s first in the United States and will initially support the company’s U.S. Ad Sales team.
“We’re already the third largest multi-channel network globally and serve tens of thousands of content owners and creators in the U.S.,” comments Shahrzad Rafati, Founder & CEO, BroadbandTV. “The New York offices will further allow us to strengthen our partnerships with leading brands and advertisers as we continue to target opportunities surrounding the shift of ad spends to the digital space.”
Growing the branded entertainment division has been a focus in BBTV’s expansion strategy, with the company recently announcing a partnership with FremantleMedia North America (FMNA)’s digital content studio, Tiny Riot!, on a multi-year original programming deal spanning entertainment, gaming and music content.
The move aligns with BBTV’s extensive recent growth, which includes a 150% increase in monthly impressions in the past 13 months*, and will leverage this continued growth while elevating BBTV’s standing in the global marketplace.
BBTV currently operates the third largest multi-channel network (MCN) on YouTube globally, achieving 2.5 billion impressions across its network of over of 25,000 partners. Headquartered in Vancouver, plans are currently in place to continue expansion in key South American and European markets.
BBTV’s MCN business runs parallel with the company’s Professional Services where BBTV works with brands including the NBA, Sony Pictures and A&E to provide accurate and scalable content management, optimization and monetization solutions to generate significant revenues from their fan-uploaded content.
