Get spooked at the Britannia Shipyards this Halloween

DH Vancouver Staff Oct 12, 2015 2:04 pm

The Britannia Shipyards is a historic site in Richmond that harbours more creepy secrets than you can imagine.

Join them this Halloween for a tour of the historic buildings and hear Halloween tales throughout Britannia Shipyard. You can even make a paper Halloween basket and trick or treat along the boardwalk houses.

The Britannia Shipyards buildings date as far back as 1885 – they’ve seen many things throughout the years, and your tour guide will give you a taste of some of the stories that lay in the walls of the national historic spots.

Learn about the storied history of the shipyard, which had many multi-ethnic residents from China, Japan, Europe, as well as Indigenous people.

Tour four stilt houses and a Chinese bunkhouse that demonstrate living conditions from 1910-1930 with innovative audio and video exhibit displays.

…If you dare.
