Bright Nights in Stanley Park

Dec 19 2017, 11:44 am

Starting November 28, 2008 Bright Nights in Stanley Park will commence. Every year Stanley Park turns into a Christmas playground a tradition that has been going on for some 20 years. Everyone will enjoy the thousands of lights wrapped around the trees as you ride the train through the dense urban forest. Here is the information from the website:
More than a million twinkling lights transform the forest, train and Children’s Farmyard. Explore the woodland paths leading to enchanting, animated displays and holiday sounds. A Christmas family tradition for over 20 years, the train wends its way through the forest past Santa’s workshop, an international village and the much loved Moose in the middle of the glistening waterway.

All donations collected at the event, and partial proceeds from the sale of tickets for the train, go to the Burn Fund to help burn survivors and their families. As Bright Nights is one of its major fundraisers, the Burn Fund accepts donations at the front gate and suggests a minimum donation of $2.

Bright Nights has raised over $1.2 million for the Burn Fund. This achievement is supported by more than 500 off-duty professional firefighters from the Lower Mainland and around BC who donate their time to set up, operate and take down the annual display.

For more information call the Bright Nights info line @ 604-257-8531
Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for youth (2-18) and seniors @ Ticketmaster
