Boobyball's epic party for a good cause returns to Vancouver next month
FEATURED ON THE LISTED GUIDE
Vancouver, get ready to dive into the ocean.
The annual Boobyball party returns to Van City next month, and this year’s charitable party is going underwater.
Taking place on October 26 at The Permanent, the giant party aims to raise funds for Rethink Breast Cancer’s programs, spread awareness about breast cancer prevention, and provide support for individuals under 40.
“Watching Boobyball grow over the past 17 years into a multi-city fundraising bash has been truly awe-inspiring and also proves that people recognize the value in supporting our cause,” says MJ DeCoteau, executive director of Rethink Breast Cancer.
This year’s Into The Ocean theme speaks to the volumes of young people affected by breast cancer and acknowledges their feelings of isolation and being lost at sea. This year’s motif will see the nationwide events awash in all things aquatic. Guests will be transported into the deep blue in where they will be treated to an evening of themed beverages, treats and guest experiences all set to a soundtrack of top tunes.
Boobyball was launched in Toronto in 2002 by a group of dedicated young women in support of their friend, Sarah O’Regan, who at just 23-years-old, was diagnosed with aggressive and advanced breast cancer.
Over the past 17 years, Boobyball has raised over $5.2 million dollars for Rethink Breast Cancer. For those who have yet to attend a Boobyball party, you can expect experiential activations, on-theme decor, makeup, braid and wine bars, real life mermaids, Sea Shell photo activations, and signature ocean blue cocktails.
