RCMP are looking for any witnesses who may have seen someone leave a suspicious package at a Surrey gas station.
On Wednesday evening at 7:50 p.m., police received a report of a suspicious package found at the Petro Can gas station at 2692 152nd Street, along King George Boulevard. The area was closed for hours as a precaution.
The RCMP’s bomb disposal unit was called in and a bomb disposal robot was ultimately used to determine that the package was not a pipe bomb.
Anyone with information that may be helpful to investigators is asked to call Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers (to remain anonymous) at 1-800-222-8477.
