Body found at the site of a grass fire in Langley

Police are investigating after a body was found at the location of a grass fire in Langley early this morning.

Firefighters called police to the 6000 block of Glover Road after they extinguished a fire and found the body of a deceased person, according to Langley RCMP in a release.

The investigation is currently being handled by the department’s Serious Crime Unit.

As the investigation is still in its early stages, limited information is available at this time. Police are also still in the process of gathering evidence.

Investigators are also working on identifying the identity of the deceased individual.
