Body found near Fraserview Golf Course, man murdered by gunfire

The Vancouver Police are investigating a murder after the discovery of a body in a residential neighbourhood near Fraserview Golf Course.

The body was found shortly after 6:30 p.m. yesterday in the 2400 block of Ancaster Crescent. According to police, the victim was shot but it is not known how long the body was there before it was found.

Neighbours in the area reported gunfire on Wednesday night prior to the discovery of the body. It marks Vancouver’s sixth murder of 2013.

It is early in the investigation and additional details will be provided as information becomes available. However, the incident appears to be targeted and the man has not been identified at this time.
