The Surrey RCMP says that a body was discovered near the intersection of 88th Avenue and King George Boulevard Wednesday afternoon.

A hiker found the body at Quibble Creek at around 3 pm. Police say they’re now investigating along with the LMD Integrated Forensic Identification Services and the BC Coroners Service.

Corporal Scotty Schumann says it’s still very early in the investigation and that there’s no risk to the public right now. The team is still working on identifying the body.
