Ridge Meadows RCMP have confirmed a body has been found in Golden Ears Provincial Park this morning.
It comes a day after a 39-year-old man had been reported missing in the area.
He had apparently told his camp that he was going for a walk and to set off some New Year’s fireworks, but never returned.
Ridge Meadows Search and Rescue’s Rick Laing says there appeared to be no signs that the body was subject to foul play.
The B.C. Coroner’s Service has been called in to begin an investigation.
