Body discovered in a storm drain in East Vancouver

Vancouver Police are investigating a suspicious death near the PNE fairgrounds.

Earlier today, a body was discovered in a storm drain in the area of Kaslo and Turno streets, less than two city blocks away from the main entrance of the PNE at Hastings and Renfrew streets. The area was secured and the coroner was at the scene.

Police responded to a call from an individual who found the body. The case is now being investigated as a suspicious death.

Few details are available at this time as the investigation is in its early stages.

UPDATE: The body has been identified as 26-year-old Charles Oudie.
