Running/BMO Vancouver Marathon

The BMO Vancouver Marathon is back this Sunday.

If you’re going to be driving around downtown, you may want to plan ahead. The event , which takes place on Sunday, will affect roadways from Chinatown to UBC.

Gigantic mobs of people will fill streets and pathways to ‘RUN4HOPE‘. More than 15,000 participants from over 60 countries will be in attendance.

A special traffic advisory has already been issued regarding public access and the route.

Vancouver’s marathon

This is Vancouver’s only marathon. It also features a fast half marathon, an 8 km option and a Relay. Over 4,000 volunteers will be in attendance to ensure things run smoothly.

2017 National Charities include Down Syndrome Research Fund, Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada and Canadian Mental Health Association.

Plan accordingly and expect delays this Sunday.
