Mad Max is coming to Nat Bailey.
Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Max Scherzer is going to suit up for the Vancouver Canadians on Friday, according to Sportsnet’s Shi Davidi.
The 41-year-old future Hall of Famer has battled injuries all season, pitching just once since April 24. His last start came on June 10.
Max Scherzer said he’s travelling with Blue Jays out west and will make a rehab start Friday with Vancouver.
He’ll rejoin the team in Seattle on Saturday, throw his side Sunday and determine next steps from there.

The Blue Jays are making their annual trip to Seattle this weekend, with games against the Mariners at T-Mobile Park on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Friday’s game at Nat Bailey Stadium against the Eugene Emeralds begins at 1:05 p.m. It’s a good bet to sell out after this news.
