Black bear gets police escort while crossing the street (VIDEO)

Why did the black bear cross the road?

Motorists in Jasper, Alberta were stopped by Sheriffs to make way for a black bear trying to get to the other side.

In a Facebook post the Sherris captioned the safety video saying “While patrolling on the highway near Jasper, our sheriffs came across this black bear taking a stroll across the highway. Our member made sure this bear got across safely, and everyone gave the bear room to move freely. The bear was given a warning for impeding traffic, and sent on his way.”
