North Vancouver is set to get a little bit sweeter thanks to a new bakery that is scheduled to open in early spring 2016.
Situated in a brand new building, constructed by the Kevington Building Corporation, BjornBar Bakery will boast an array of gourmet dessert bars, cookies, meringues, specialty cakes, croissants, scones (both sweet and savoury), savoury tarts, house-made sausage rolls, quiche, and croissant sandwiches.
In addition to the tempting assortment of baked goods, the bakery will also offer a wide selection of hot and cold beverages, including cappuccinos, lattes, espressos, drip and iced coffees, tea, and fresh squeezed juices. BjornBar will also whip up house-made hot chocolate, with fresh marshmallows, and cold chocolate, strawberry and vanilla bean milk.
The modern 1400-square-foot space will house 27 seats and a cozy patio out front. A little over half the space will be dedicated to the retail bakery, the other half will contain the kitchen where all the goods are produced in-house.
BjornBar Bakery will be owner Tamera Clark’s second bakery that she’s founded and built from the bottom up. For the past three years Clark has been working and living in Montreal building Rustique Pie Kitchen, a bakery specializing in mini pies.
