FEATURED ON THE LISTED GUIDE
Tune-up your bikes and find something bright and flashy to wear, as Vancouverites are once again invited to take part in Bike the Night – British Columbia’s largest on-street night ride.
This coming September, Vancouver’s most iconic roads will be opened exclusively for an after-hours bike ride, hosted by HUB Cycling and presented by MEC.
Participants are invited to deck out their bike in bright lights and join over 5000 other riders of all ages in a 10 km joy ride.
The event begins with a pre-party at Concord Pacific Place. The celebration includes live music and DJs, free simple bike tune-ups from MEC, bike decorating stations, food trucks, a kids’ zone, games, and a handful of free giveaways.
The ride then takes cyclists through a relaxed, colourful, and vibrant ride through car-free Vancouver streets.
Admission to the event begins at $15 for early bird tickets, with free admission for riders under 16 years of age.
Registration to the event includes a 10% discount at MEC Vancouver stores (if you take advantage of the event’s pre-ride package pickup), entry to the pre-party, a free 24-hour pass form Mobi, support for HUB Cycling, and the chance to win a MEC Origami LTD Folding Bicycle.
Participation also helps support HUB Cycling, a registered charity that has been working for over 20 years to make biking better in Metro Vancouver.
Bike the Night takes place on Saturday, September 15, 2018. Participants can register online.
