Beer lovers who yearn to say “Dude, let’s go bowling,” can make their housecoat-wearing dreams come true, as the Lebowski-themed event includes not only “oat soda” samples at Big Rock Urban Brewery & Eatery and Storm Brewing, but also time to play at Grandview Lanes Bowling Centre.
Participants can put their trivia skills to the test with a fun contest that includes prizes for the most well-versed fans of the Coen Brothers’ cult classic 1998 flick. There’s a costume contest, too, for those who want to dress the part.
Vancouver Brewery Tours founder Ryan Mackey says he’s an “ardent Lebowski fan,” adding: “I’m excited to offer a tour that not only highlights some of our amazing local craft breweries, but also pays tribute to a film loved by so many, ‘but that’s just, like, our opinion, man’.”
The first tours take place on Saturday, March 26. Tickets include return transportation from Waterfront Station to all three venues, all beer samples, bowling, and a souvenir glass.
