Betty White's Coming to Vancouver

DH Vancouver Staff Oct 17, 2011 8:41 am

B.C. and Vancouver in particular is considered a great destination for older people. This is mainly due to our great year round weather (except for Nov to Feb) and ease of access to “medicinal” marijuana. Surely that’s why Betty White is coming to town. Saturday, February 18th The Vancouver ComedyFest brings you An Evening with Betty White: a night of questions, answers, stories and laughter.

The Vancouver ComedyFest is back with new dates and an amazing line up.  The brand new Vancouver ComedyFest runs February 16th to the 26th for two weeks at numerous venues, with some huge laughs.

If you don’t know who Betty White is, then you obviously didn’t watch Golden Girls. Actress. Comedienne. Singer. Author. Former game show personality. Hollywood legend. With a career spanning seven decades since 1939, she is best known to modern audiences for her television roles as Sue Ann Nivens on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Rose Nylund on The Golden Girls. Currently, she stars as Elka Ostrovsky in the TV Land sitcom Hot in Cleveland. She has also released several books over the span of her career and has two more books in the works, the first of which is scheduled for release in 2011.

White has won seven Emmy Awards and in May 2010 became the oldest person to guest-host Saturday Night Live, for which she also received a Primetime Emmy Award.

Don’t miss The Vancouver ComedyFest with special guest BETTY WHITE at The Centre for Performing Arts, Saturday February 18th, 2012.
