The music was full of irony throughout Canada's performance at the Honda Celebration of Light. In fact, it actually made me wonder if the team had the ability to change the playlist and the choreography of the fireworks on the fly? Team Canada came out swinging with a powerful fireworks show to the music of "Sabotage" by the Beasty Boys. In this case "Sabotage only foreshadowed the lack of wind that sabotaged the show rendering many of the fireworks invisible in an idling cloud of smoke. The middle of the show was played to the tune of Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball," which only could have been used to vent the team's frustration at the weather conditions. For the finale, the home team tried to deliver a knock out punch, but accepted the miserable atmospheric conditions with the song by Fun, whose lyrics began with "Some nights I stay up cashing in my bad luck…" See what I mean? Much irony. In any case, congratulations Team Canada on your win in this years fireworks!
