Wanderlust is a great spot for a variety of travel items, many of which you won’t know you need or think of until you step foot in this store – trust us, it happens.
From your desire for eclectic traveller stories to niche travel guides that satisfy your dream of wine tasting throughout Europe or hitting the best international ski destinations, the books at this location will have you covered. There is, of course, your typical travel guides to your intended destinations, but you can also find inspiration for other future trips by simply browsing the endless selection.
Did you think of packing laundry packets for your lengthy trips? Or a waterproof case to protect your iPod or cell phone for your next boating adventure? Neither did we, until we stepped into this store.
Wanderlust sells everything from luggage, luggage tags, luggage locks, money belts, first aid kits, compression socks, adapters and travel clocks to quick dry and disposable underwear!
Travel Bug
Maps, maps and more maps! The Travel bug is another great spot for discovering additional information on your destination. The accessories are not as varied as Wanderlust but the Travel Bug does have a large selection of maps along with your typical selection of travel books. For those that want an Atlas at your house – there is a selection at the Travel Bug to choose from.
Okay, so the next two are more for the ladies. Sometimes after an extended travel period it is fair to say that one can feel rather “rough around the edges” and it takes some of us a few more attempts than others to come to the realization that this is truly unnecessary.

Situated on Pacific Boulevard, the Beauty Mark has an array of products that will have you covered head to toe. Some are more practical than others for on the road, however, the selection here is so large that you are bound to find travel appropriate bottles of your favourite elixir.

Located downtown on Dunsmuir Street, Sephora is jam-packed with so many brands and options for all of your needs. There are many travel-size options and many amazing skincare and hair products that can help you adapt to harsh weather climates during your travels. If you’re already an outdoor enthusiast, you, most likely, are aware of MEC and if not – shame on you! For the newbies out there, MEC will be your new outdoor go-to spot and we are sure that you’ll leave the store with more than what you wanted initially.
Travel mugs, hydration packs, net shelters, snorkel gear, water treatment and tablets, footwear, clothing, tents, backpacks, various sporting equipment and a large variety of camping food are all located at both the North Vancouver and West Broadway location.
For those not wanting to splurge on large equipment purchases before a trip, rentals are available for a variety of equipment such as skis, snowboards, rock climbing gear, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, cycling gear and camping gear.
Drexoll Games
Sometimes to get to the destinations you love you need to endure a grueling flight. Nerdy game enthusiasts, like some of us, may appreciate one or two travel games for the journey or down time.
Drexoll Games is located in Kitsilano on West 4th Avenue and has a massive selection of games, including board games, card games, dice games, word games, brain teasers, role playing and unique collectable games. You can easily find a good travel option – travel Scrabble is easy for planes, buses and boats and will keep you and your companion occupied.
