With CBC’s full coverage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, businesses all around Vancouver have gotten their spaces ready and menus touched up for customers coming in to watch the games.

To give you an idea of where to watch them, here are a few good spots to visit, categorized by neighbourhood:

Where to watch the World Cup 2014 on Commercial Drive



Abruzzo’s Cappuccino Bar

Abruzzo’s has been rated as one of the best places to watch the World Cup on Commercial Drive. Enjoy a cup of cappuccino made with passion in a cafe that is extremely enthusiastic about soccer and the Italian team.

Charles Bar

Charles Bar is located in Gastown’s famous Woodward’s building. During the World Cup it will have lunch time specials for $10 and beer for $3. The place will contain 100 TVs.

The Blarney Stone will allow reservations. For the Cup they will have weekly specials, and four TVs playing the game along with a projector.

El Azteca will be having Mexican breakfast and tacos on special, as well as $4 tequila shots. Two TVs and a projector will be playing the games.

BC Hydro


Bismarck will not be open for the 9 a.m. games, but will play the other games on their eight TVs and continue to serve daily drink specials.

Wings will have 14 TVs and a projector, one TV being visible from the outdoor patio. They will also have daily drink specials.

Elephant and Castle’s famous truffle potato crips will be on special for $5 for the World Cup. Seven TVs will be downstairs and three upstairs. Budbeiser and Bud Light are $5 a pint.
