Lime & Moon Pie Company, a small-batch bakehouse hailing from Bowen Island, has settled nicely into its Yaletown digs since opening late last year. Continuing with its organic approach, Lime & Moon’s menu features both sweet and savoury pies, including Lemon-Lime Meringue, Sinfully Sweet Peach, Strawberry Rhubarb Fields Forever, Blueberry Patch, and the French-Canadian classic Tourtière. In addition to adventurous weekly specials, the pie house also offers vegan, gluten-free, and raw pit options too.

The Pie Shoppe

The pies at this petite Chinatown bakeshop are sure to catch your eye, while at the same time get your stomach rumbling. The Pie Shoppe is a great spot to enjoy a slice of pie, which has been made with love and local fruit and ingredients from B.C., along with a coffee. Rotating pie flavours are available and change with the season. The classics stay on the menu year-round and include apple and chocolate pecan.

Savary Island Pie Company

West Vancouver’s Savary Island Pie Company is to many the gold standard of local pie making. It could also be homegrown star Ryan Reynolds’ favourite go-to spot for pie. They are known for their Chicken Pot Pie (and its zingier curry version), as well as their sweet fruit pies.

Tartine has a tight list of hand-crafted pies, including Classic pumpkin, Honey Butter Pecan, Raspberry Rhubarb Ginger, Coconut Cream, and Salted Caramel Apple. They’re known for their Cherry Tarts, which make a great intro to their delicious pies.

Aphrodite’s Café and Pie Shop


This packed cafe is a longstanding local favourite, and serves up some memorable (and big!) slices of pie. Standouts are their Chocolate Banana Cream Pie and their Raspberry Rhubarb Pie. Aprhrodite’s is also known for their vegan and gluten-free pies, too.

The Pie Hole

Vancouver first got to know Jenell Parsons and her delicious pies just a few years ago through the Make It Market and other local events. Though The Pie Hole doesn’t have a retail storefront you can order for pick up, or find their pies at a variety of places around town. Their savoury pie list includes the popular Bacon Cheeseburger Pie and Mac and Cheese Pie, and their sweet list has options like Maple French Toast Bacon Pie or their celebrated Fat Elvis, along with more traditional fruit and cream selections.

Gastown’s Smallflower Cafe & Bakery prepares a feature pie and an array of fruit tarts fresh daily. Always gluten-free and vegan, Smallflower switches up its pie flavours regularly.
