If you want to split hairs about whether we can call Stamps Landing or the southern reaches of Strathcona “Mount Pleasant,” well, why not grab some friends and a beer and hash it out on one of these terrific Mount Pleasant (or Mount Pleasant-adjacent) patios.
Just west of Cambie and Olympic Village is Mahony & Sons’ Stamps Landing outpost, which boasts what many consider the best patio in Vancouver. Right on False Creek, this sun-drenched patio space offers gorgeous waterfront views and a laid-back vibe, complete with brews and pub grub.

Enjoy a positively summery vibe on Tap & Barrel’s sizable patio. Set right on False Creek patrons are encouraged to soak up the water views, while they dig into the casual eatery’s comforting fare and throw back one of the many craft beers on offer.

In addition to a comfort-driven food menu, CRAFT Beer Market (located in the historic Salt Building) serves a variety of draft brews on tap–a whopping 140 in fact. While CRAFT is known for its rustic, high ceiling interior it also boasts an inviting outdoor patio with plenty of seating, making it an ideal spot for friends to kick back, relax, and “cheers” to gloriously sunny afternoons.

Head up to the top of this quirky Cambie Street restaurant that’s the new flagship for Vij’s Vancouver empire, and sip drinks and snacks surrounded by a sky-high “fence” of lights; this is in part what gave the restaurant its nickname, Vij’s Lantern. Make the patio your destination, or hang out there waiting for your table in the main dining room.

The Dubh Linn Gate Irish pub is home to not just one but two patios. The patio situated on Main Street catches the morning to mid-afternoon sun and seats 44 people, while the second patio is larger (seating 58 people) and is located out back in the courtyard of the Central building.
