Best patios in Mount Pleasant

May 12 2017, 3:51 am

We’re drawing a broader set of boundaries here under the umbrella of Mount Pleasant so we can include the great patios found in Olympic Village and just blocks away from the usual neighbourhood borders so that some of Vancouver’s great patios can enjoy a mention.

If you want to split hairs about whether we can call Stamps Landing or the southern reaches of Strathcona “Mount Pleasant,” well, why not grab some friends and a beer and hash it out on one of these terrific Mount Pleasant (or Mount Pleasant-adjacent) patios.

Vij’s Restaurant

Head up to the top of this quirky Cambie Street restaurant that’s the new flagship for Vij’s Vancouver empire, and sip drinks and snacks surrounded by a sky-high “fence” of lights; this is in part what gave the restaurant its nickname, Vij’s Lantern. Make the patio your destination, or hang out there waiting for your table in the main dining room.
