Joe Fortes

Joe Fortes – Seafood and Chop House is a favourite amongst locals. Their roof top garden patio can accommodate up to 55 guests and with another 1o guests on their sidewalk patio. Patio hours are from 11:00  A.M. to 11:00 P.M. everyday of the week. We recommend trying their famous happy hour from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. – arrive early as there are no reservations for this sought after downtown patio.

The attire is casual chic, sorry men no tank-tops but sandals are allowed.  Visit today and order these happy hour specials: $1 oysters, $5 glasses of wine and 50 per cent off the bar menu. You must try their summer cocktails by Jennifer Hennessey – featuring:  limoncello cooler, rosa margarita, elderflower fizz and chop house lemonade.

Gallery Cafe

Gallery Café located inside the Vancouver Art Gallery, is a downtown gem,  which accommodates 165 guests with evening cocktail service from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday. But do arrive early, there are no reservations and the local business crowd sprawls the patio shortly after 5 p.m. Not only is it a fun place after work, but it is also fantastic for your out-of-town guests in the afternoon.

Patio attire is casual and kid-friendly with fresh menu options that change daily. Summer drink specials start June 3, 2013 including buckets of three beers for $15, plus live music on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Remember to bring your sunglasses and a hat as this patio’s open concept is for the sun-lovers at heart.

Market by Jean-Georges

Market by Jean-Georges, at Shangri-La Hotel Vancouver features two patios, Market on level three and street-side Xi Shi. Patios are open summer hours everyday from 11:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.  MARKET by Jean-Georges seats 65 guests & Xi Shi Lounge (street level) patio seats 18 guests. Reservations are recommended. Visit Market today and try their spring menu cocktail list, featuring cocktails lychee raspberry bellini and pineapple mojito to name a few.

Live music can be enjoyed at Xi Shi from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, while Thursday to Saturday guests experience DJ’s from 8 p.m. to 1 p.m. Visit website for their event calendar and listings.

CinCin

CinCin – ristorante and bar, hosts one of the finest hidden patios that downtown Vancouver has to offer. CinCin’s patio is a great place to enjoy the weather, after a day of shopping indulge yourself with delicious Italian dishes and attentive service. Attire is smart chic. This Robson street patio can seat up to 38 guests, lunch starts at 11:30 a.m. while dinner service beings at 5 p.m.

Guests can enjoy the patio until midnight while exploring exceptional wines and flavourful ports. When dining try the wild and cultivated mushroom risotto followed by the sablefish from Haida Gwaii, with olive braised kale and mushroom essence. I loved both! CinCin has a superior wine list with extensive global offerings – be a little adventurous this summer and try something new!

Reflections

Reflections – Rosewood Hotel Georgia, is one of downtown’s newest patios, hosting a chic crowd with delicious drinks. This summer Reflections will offer  signature drinks – mint julep, pimm’s cup, moscow mule and cosmo daisy along with tapas featuring local influences in culinary delights. Attire is casual chic, with no tank-tops for men. Patio hours are 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

The patio can accomodate 175 guests, the most out of featured downtown patios. Reservations are encouraged and there can be availability for large parties and gatherings. Lounge at Reflections from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. with live music from  Stylab Sounds every Sunday.

Thierry Chocolaterie Patisserie Cafe

Thierry is a downtown upscale chocolate patisserie cafe, nestled in the with luxury giants like Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Tiffany and Co., Brinkhaus and Mont Blanc. The Roof at Black and Blue – The Golden Age of Steak, hosts a newly renovated patio, celebrated last month on Vancity Buzz. The Roof features an open kitchen and bar, specifically for guests dining on the patio – which is a first for Vancouver. Patio hours – Monday to Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. with a lovely weekend brunch. Happy hour specials from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
