A killer pizza place is the next destination on the 10 best ice cream spots in Vancouver. Wait, what? It’s true. Some pretty great gelato has mixed in with the franchise structure of Famoso, and they’re putting out some unique and wonderful treats for their hungry guests.
The Famoso franchise idea began in Alberta in 2005, and they wisely included the passionate folks at Fiasco Artisan Gelato in their business plans. Fiasco creates artisan gelato in small batches, and supplies Famoso restaurants with a unique rotation of flavours.
A highlight among the traditional offerings is Famoso’s S’mores Gelato Sandwich. This beauty is chocolate, marshmallow, and graham cracker gelato wedged between two soft maple cookies. In other words, incredible.
Famoso’s Commerical Drive location has been a favourite of the neighbourhood since opening, and those wanting a taste in Abbotsford, Surrey, and Downtown Vancouver will have their wishes granted this fall.
