Hockey drew one step closer to returning earlier today as the Canucks released their 2017-18 regular season schedule.

There was a sense of deja-vu for fans, with the Canucks opening up at home against the Edmonton Oilers, the third time in the past five years that they’ve hosted the Oilers in their home opener.

A quick glance through the schedule reveals a whole host of other interesting games, however. So to help you mark your calendars here are seven of the hottest home games taking place at Rogers Arena this season.

We all know there are plenty of East Coast expats living in our city, and nowhere is this more true than when the Leafs come to town. You can expect plenty of blue and white and one hell of an atmosphere at Rogers Arena.

December 13 vs. Nashville Predators

Nashville’s home fans were one of the biggest talking points of last season’s playoff run, but Vancouver Canucks fans will get a chance to show them how it’s done *lol* when P.K. Subban and co. come to town.

December 19 vs. Montreal Canadiens
