Best day drinking spots in Vancouver

May 27 2016, 12:22 am

While beer, cocktails, and wine are commonly enjoyed in the evening, sometimes you’ve just got to engage in a little day drinking in order to beat the heat, escape the after-work crowd, or simply let your hair down.

Thankfully, Vancouver has plenty of day-drinking-friendly watering holes where you can do just that (and more). With a collection of indoor and outdoor spots, we’ve rounded up the best bars in the city where you can enjoy a casual day drink.

Vancouver Urban Winery

Occupying space in the Settlement Building, on a nondescript side street in the Railtown, Vancouver Urban Winery (VUW) is a hidden gem featuring high ceilings, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and plenty of opportunities to explore wine. VUW’s tasting room, which possesses 36 wine taps, allows patrons to taste the boutique winery’s in-house brands, as well as a selection of wines produced from other wineries around B.C. Wine and dine from 11 a.m. onwards during the week and 10 a.m. on the weekend.
