Burgers have been around for many decades and nowadays come in many over the top varieties. Yet, we feel the best burgers are the ones that try to keep things fairly simple and not overloaded with an abundance of toppings to justify a heft price tag.

After a year of careful and delicious research, we have compiled our list of the 10 best burgers in Vancouver.

They have a huge sign outside the restaurant claiming to have the best burger in Vancouver. After numerous visits, we have to agree, especially the TDF Burger. To Dine For Eatery know how to make a mean burger. It’s not situated on a pedestrian friendly or busy neighbourhood, but it’s worth the SkyTrain or car ride.

Moderne Burger is known for two things: shakes and burgers. Their shakes are amazing but their burgers are even better. This classic diner in Kits serves up a mean burger platter. Their hand made steak burgers are prepared daily and contain no preservatives or fillers.

In what is another overlooked spot for passerby’s, Argo Cafe is a Vancouver staple and a stone’s throw from the Olympic Village. It’s a traditional, old school diner that looks like it has seen better days. However, once seated you’ll notice that the quality of the food is high and their burgers are worth every dollar.

The beef burger at Argo Cafe is simple and very well made. It comes with lettuce, tomato, red onions, pickle and chili mayo, and only for $5.25. You can add an extra patty, cheese, bacon, mushrooms and french fries to your meal at an additional cost.

The Cannibal Café is Commercial Drive’s newest restaurant, serving up hand ground beef burgers and authentic milkshakes in a nostalgic, rockin’, diner-esque environment. The American Classic burger is your best bet here.

The Cannibal Cafe grinds three cuts of Alberta Beef; Brisket for it’s flavour and short rib for it’s rich marbling. The meat is hand ground daily in house to very specific standards.
