Behold! The Olympic Rings Come to Coal Harbour

Dec 19 2017, 11:53 am

The march to 2010 continues, however, the original plans had Vancouver erecting the Olympic rings on Burrard and Lions Gate bridge. However, due to the APC goon squad the city has decided to put the rings in the middle of Coal Harbour next to unsightly the Esso gas station.

Originally 5 sets of rings were to be placed around Vancouver. However, due to economic reasons I’m pretty sure the plan has been scaled back to only two sets of rings. The original set of rings were put up a while ago at Vancouver International airport.

Staying on the public art tip, it seems as though the city has been installing a lot more lately. I for one can’t wait to see more. There is a new installation at the corner of Davie and Denman by English Bay and “The Pillows” just off the seawall in Coal Harbour. The Olympic art plan will start to come together shortly as well.
