With a number of impressive condo buildings erected since 2009, there is no question that Vancouver has gone through significant change in just a short period.

To highlight this growth, here are interactive before and after images of certain major developments from both a bird’s eye view and street level.

1. 2300 Kingsway

The 2300 Kingsway is a high-rise residential condo development located at corner of Nanaimo and Kingsway. It consists of a 22-storey tower and two 8-story mid-rise buildings. The development was completed in 2013.

2. The Maddox (1351 Continental Street) and Salt by Concert (1308 Hornby Street)

The Maddox is a 32-storey condo and townhouse development which was completed in 2014. The 215-unit building offers spectacular views in every direction, exceptional solar performance and rainscreen technology.

The Salt is a 194-unit condo development which was also completed in 2014. Salt is 33 stories high and offers panoramic views that extend from False Creek sunrises to English Bay sunsets.

3. The Mark

The Mark is a condo and townhouse development which was completed in 2013. It has a total of 302 units and is 41 storeys high. It features a distinctive architectural design and is positioned to capture views across the English Bay and beyond.

4. Jameson House

Jameson House is a condo development that was completed in 2011. The 36-storey building focuses on green living, luxurious finishings, and cutting edge technology.

5. Shangri-La

The 62-story Living Shangri-La is the tallest building in Vancouver, and in the entire British Columbia. It is a mixed-use skyscraper that rises 201 meters (659 feet) in height. The tower contains a 5-star hotel and its offices on the first 15 floors, while condominiums occupy the rest of the building.
