Beer For Dogs Comes to Vancouver

Dec 19 2017, 4:23 pm

We all know that here in Vancouver, pooches are pampered; there are numerous specialty stores devoted to giving Fido the finest things in life, but none of them could say they offer the newest offering from Victoria’s Moon Under Water Brewery…dog beer.

The creators of this unique brew say the idea came from the hours of their dog watching longingly as they brewed, and enjoyed, craft beer. After brainstorming about how they could reward their loyal pooch, the ‘doggy beer’ was born. Don’t worry, your dogs won’t actually be getting drunk off think innovative libation; in fact it has chicken stock, salmon oil and glucosamine to promote healthy fur and joints.

The dog brew was launched on August 10 in Victoria to great interest, and dogs seemed to lap it up.  As soon as they caught wind of this rare ‘doggy beer’,  local Vancouver specialty store, Viti, wanted to share this one-of-a-kind product with dog loving regulars in Vancouver.  An exclusive tasting event is being held on Sunday, September 22nd from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.  where there will be complimentary samples of Moon Under Water beer for both owners and their dogs to experience.  And, as per usual, Viti will also be offering doggy treats to all dogs who frequent the store.

So if you’ve exhausted every possible way to pamper your pooch, or just want to reward your faithful companion, head down to 900 Seymour street on Sunday to let your pet get their drink on.
