We know that our readers are a quirky and animated bunch, the daily emails we get from you guys is evidence of that. We also know that Vancouver has some of the most talented individuals on the planet when it comes to film and animation. So to our readers we want to let you in on a little contest that Doritos is running right now! Just check out the info below or the istudio.ca page for details.
On Monday, February 16, Doritos kicked off a nationwide contest called Become the Doritos Guru. They’ve just launched a new, unidentified flavour, which is available at all major retail stores, packaged in white bags with a black and gold dollar sign. Canadians are being asked to try it, name it, and create a 30 second commercial about it.
Here’s how it works:
- Videos can be submitted and voted on at www.doritosguru.ca until March 18th, 2009.
- Five semi-finalists will be determined based on votes from across Canada and a Doritos Guru judging panel that includes Raptors star Chris Bosh and members of The Trews.
- From these top five, Canadians will vote on May 1, 2009, for the final winner.
- The Doritos Guru will take home $25,000 in cash, will receive 1% of the net sales of their flavour for the life of the product, and have their commercial aired on national television.
So get to it Vancouver and do us all proud!
