Traffic on a West Vancouver road ground to a halt during yesterday morning’s rush hour when a “slow moving” beaver tried to cross the road.

West Vancouver Police tweeted photos and posted a video onto YouTube of a beaver sluggishly crossing the intersection at Bellevue Avenue and 15th Street.
Police say the beaver was eventually “safely shooed” by officers and pedestrians into the nearby John Lawson Park so that it could continue its journey within a safer path.
