A North Vancouver couple got quite the surprise when they found a black bear lounging in their backyard pool.
In the video clip by homeowner Tony Dierling that aired on a CTV broadcast, the bear can be seen paddling around the pool before ambling into the hot tub.
Dierling told CTV he never thought something like that would happen to him.
“It’s just amazing, you see funny things on YouTube, but to have it happening in your own backyard…”
The bear might be the same one that visited Dierling’s yard earlier this year to grab some bird seed. After noticing the feeder was gone, the bear may have decided to take a dip to relieve his woes.
The bear appears to be tagged in the video, suggesting he’s made his fair share of appearances in the backyards of other North Vancouver residents.
