Vancouverites are lucky to be living right next door to some seriously impressive wine country, with almost 250 wineries producing a huge range of wines.

The next time you feel like a sip of something local, check out these five spots, all focused on pouring an awesome selection of BC wines.

At Boulevard, glam Wine Director Lisa Haley has put together a mega wine list, making it the perfect place to celebrate or take your wine-loving houseguests. At least 25% of wines by the glass are from B.C., including a rosé sparkler from Blue Mountain, and Nichol Vineyard’s Cab Franc. You can also peruse over their impressive list of 50 different BC wines by the bottle.

At this cool converted warehouse in Railtown, peek into the neighbouring brewery before grabbing a table at the VUW lounge to sample their selection of B.C. wines on tap. Choose from a collaboration with local wineries such as the Road 13 Chardonnay, or one of their VUW label wines, made from B.C. grapes. Can’t choose? Try a flight of wines specially selected by the sommelier.

The 2014 Meyer Family Pinot Gris is a standout, and exclusive to Vino Volo, as is the Bravo Campa, an organic Pinot Noir made by Okanagan Crush Pad with a nod to VV sommelier Sally Campa.
